ABOUT RON

Ron D Swan makes canvas bags and cycling wear from reclaimed and/or low environmental impact materials. We design, manufacture, market and distribute these products in Australia, and always consider the 5 R's: Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Repair, Recycle.
Ron D Swan is based in Castlemaine, Central Victoria, Australia.



Ron D* Swan is a tyre swan working out of a small factory in Castlemaine. Being of reused material himself, he's had a lifelong obsession to creatively use materials that other people throw away. He sources such things as pvc banners, plastic sign boards, canvas offcuts, bicycle tubes and stainless steel spokes. Whenever possible he uses these materials in his products and repeats to himself; "Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Repair, Recycle"

*D stands for Duckoldson, it's a very long story. . .

Cathy Parry is the founder of Ron D Swan the business. She developed Ron Duckoldson Swan's character in 2003 and in 2005 Ron became the figurehead of Cathy's new cycling accessories business.
Cathy is the production manager, sales manager, financial manager and CEO and still does much of the sewing.

Chris Guest is the chief designer at Ron D Swan. He has developed the designs for the products based on his own and Cathy's wish list.

Floyd and Rolph are our smallest trainees, they don't actually DO a great deal. We do have, however a couple of part time people who make an ever-increasing contribution to the business.
